As part of my course ( for ordination) I have had to do some reading and an essay on inter faith dialogue. what was interesting was that it was clearly an area that a lot of faiths have struggled with. I started with Christianity and found a massive range of approaches most of them trying to help bring people together. But as I looked at other including Muslim positions it dawned on me that they had as many issues as the christian with such dialogue. We can't know the way God wants to work, but we can ensure we do not close ourselves off from looking for God together.
Also I really feel strongly that we should not be looking for a fudge that suit no-one. If my faith is important i should be able to talk about it with confidence but without arrogance.
