what are we here for?

I am not trying to get too deep, perhaps I should. I just want to understand what I am meant to do as a curate in the local parish.
In talking to the church wardens and other elected people at my parish they came up with some great ideas.
Bring in and encourage young people. My role to go and be with younger people and help them to see that the church is relevant to them. Then we need to work out how we welcome them if they do come to church. It seems simple but of course it isn't.It seems if we are to make God seem relevant then we need to be relevant. Not shouting, screaming but loving listening and hoping we can walk a few steps in other peoples shoes
